Emory Leads in Publishing at Top Journals
June 30, 2009

Political scientists publish articles and books. The top four general journals in political science are generally recognized as American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, and International Organization. In the past year (June 2008-May 2009), Emory political science faculty have published more articles in these four journals than virtually any political science department in the world. The only exception is Princeton, a department which contains nearly twice as many faculty as Emory. Emory has enjoyed this leadership position for two years. In October 2008, a similar rating system for 2007-2008 ranked Emory first.
