Beth Reingold, B.A., Rice University; M.A., Ph.D. (1992), University of California at Berkeley. Joint appointment with the Department of Women's Studies. Research and teaching interests: American politics, national and state-level; Gender politics, especially issues of women’s political representation; Public opinion, especially issues of political identity; Legislative politics. Current research is on the impact of diversity – especially in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual identity – in the American state legislatures.
